Plantar Faciitis Treatment

Are you suffering from a painful heel caused by plantar fasciitis or heel spurs.

Well then Ace Physio has the treatment for you!

Introducing the ‘Heal you Heel” program.  A 5 step plan for the treatment of heel pain associated with plantar fasciitis or heel spurs.

At Ace Physio we are registered physiotherapists, and chiropodists aka podiatrists, who specialize in treating heel pain naturally without injections or medications.  We believe you shouldn’t have to suffer with your pain, and a lot of time and effort has gone into developing an approach that is has proven to be incredibly effective.

The “Heel you heal’ program begins with a thorough assessment and from there each step is going to be customized specifically for you.

Step 1 – a thorough assessment including history taking, and a physical evaluation.

Step 2 – is an exercise and stretching program specific to your individual needs.  You will receive an email with all the pictures, descriptions and even videos of your specific exercise program, and this ensures that you never forget how to perform the exercises you will learn.

Step 3 – we use Shockwave Therapy to stimulate tissue repair.  Shockwave Therapy has proven in previous studies to have greater efficacy, then any other natural treatments with regards to decreasing heel pain, and improving function.  If you have never heard or experienced Shockwave therapy, the best way to think about it, is to think of the shock as sound/acoustic pressure waves.  These waves allow the body to regenerate  and heal faster, while decreasing pain.  We utilize At the top of the line Storz MP200 shockwave therapy machine (the same technology used in most clinical research studies) to loosen up the tight surrounding muscles, for example the calf muscles, followed by shockwave therapy directly to the painful regions of the arch and heel.  While many practitioners out there are only giving you 1500-2000 shocks, we are employing approx. 8000 shocks, and this is just one of the many reasons we are getting better results than others who are performing shockwave therapy.

Evidence for Shockwave Therapy:

Step 4 – Immediately following the Shockwave treatments we use the Terraquant LS50-6D Laser Therapy Device to safely strengthen damaged cells and heal tissue, which leads to a reduction of pain and symptoms. The LS50 laser therapy emitter, is considered “the king” of emitter probes and offers the most power and deepest penetration available in FDA cleared cold lasers.  Our lasers are incredibly safe, while still being highly effective!

Step 5 – While this last step is optional, it is highly recommended.  In order to get maximum benefit from our program, we often need to remove the root cause of the problem.  And the best the way to do this is by getting a pair of properly fitted prescription custom orthotic insoles.  Ace Physio is proud to dispense highly accurate 3D laser casted custom orthotic insoles made by our in house chiropodist.
